Why every business needs a social media campaign plan

Updated: Sep 30, 2018

Top 3 reasons to have a good plan...

You have so many online options to network and grow your business and profits!

Learn why is a Social Media Plan is essential!

1. Visibility

“Yes, I found your business on Google! Thank goodness, I didn't have to go to page 43 before I found you...”

Visibility is the top reason to have a Media Plan for your online venture. Many people do not realize that when your site or social accounts are active it increases your place in line on search engines. That makes it easier to find you and builds traffic to your brand. Think about it- When was the last time that YOU hit that little next page arrow at the bottom of a search engine page?

Ugh! What do you mean you have never noticed it?

Of course it is there!

It just so happens that if you are not on the first page, most people will click on the first few links and then...try a new search. Rarely does anyone flip the page of listings. Everyone who did not have a plan is on page 72...

2. Hello? Is anyone there?

The next reason that you need a Media Plan is audience engagement. Yes, you should have a specific plan to reach a specific audience. Humans tend to make friends with other humans that have (gasp) things in common. Then they share those things in common and recommend things to each other. When your engagement falls off, so does your business opportunities. Without a Media Plan to engage your audience on a regular basis you send two disturbing messages...

1. Online customers are not that important to you

2. You may have already decided that this business is not for you and abandoned ship!

Even though you make the best cookies on the planet!

3. Support through Cross-promotion

“I'd love to share your work with friends Abby, except that you have not made any new posts since 2001.”

The internet was designed to share content across oceans and over mountains. Even I come across interesting things that I would have liked to share...but did not! Unless you are strictly relying on people sharing your content on "Throwback Thursdays" or "Old School Sundays" fresh content is a must for cross promotion. The nature of sharing is usually for "current" things. A Media plan is a map to keep the previous visitors coming back and while attracting new ones.
